The Business Operating System is a free, open-source, keyless set of skills and workflows for running a business, published by TrustPager. Do these steps in order, and after each one tell me what happened.
1. Check prerequisites. Confirm Node.js 16 or newer (run: node --version) and Python 3.10 or newer (run: python --version, or py -3 --version on Windows). If either is missing, stop, give me the official download link, and wait for me.
2. Install the installer globally. Run: npm install -g @trustpager/bos
3. Set it up. Run: bos init
This downloads the system from github.com/TrustPager/Business_Operating_System and runs its setup: it installs the document libraries, wires the skills and commands into me (your Claude Code agent), and turns on keyless web research. If it asks for a TrustPager API key, skip it by pressing Enter. The free version needs no key and no account.
4. Verify. Run: bos where, then show me where it installed and confirm the setup finished with no errors.
5. Tell me to fully close and reopen Claude Code now. The new skills only load when the app starts, so this is the one step you cannot do for me. Then wait for me to come back.
6. After I restart, tell me to run /start-here. It learns my business in about 60 seconds and then builds the first useful thing with me.
If any command fails, show me the exact error and the most likely fix, then wait for me. Do not guess or skip a step.
